Matutu

Matutu is a valley surround by high mountains, with plenty of springs and waterfalls,
in the south of Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Those mountains are called Serra do Papagaio. Twenty years ago, a group of people arrived and had stabilished in the valley, starting a Santo Daime community. For more than 18 years, every day in the morning at exactly 6;00 am, the bell rings, and people start their activities. At afternoon, the same happen. Every sunday there is a Oração of Santo Daime tradition.
The community is famous for develop a brigade fire to combat forest fires,also the artisans and crafts and the high conciousness about the environment.
